Our first jam went great and here we made this game 'Lights out'

Then, drag ContentsMac OS Dreams of Desire from the Finder and drop it on top of the Terminal window. The file path and filename should automatically fill in (and you should ensure that there's a space between '+x' and the file path).-Press enter. Nice! I really liked the graphics. I can't really explain it, but some effect you did with the pixels was really appealing to me. The concept was nice to, good way to implement the theme. It might have been nice for a reaction sound from the enemy when I get caught, and I still don't understand the point of the 'scariness' meter, but still really nice!

I would rate it on the Ludum Dare page, but I can't find a link to it on here..did you tag this as a Ludum Dare 46 game?

even tho i coukdnt finish it xDD but i enjoyed it alot.

The stereo panning to listen to the ghost location was great, but maybe add a way to test L and R on main page and if possible the option to flip? My speakers were reversed so I switched to headphones.
I found the game a bit too challenging but I enjoyed the art, story, and use of the theme!

Really liked this game, even though I'm the worst at 'horror' games. Glad I didn't find any jump scares. Really liked the use of the theme. Great work team!

Lights out is a super simple game where you keep the lights out. The name of the game sums up what you do. However its not that simple. There are 7/15/26 malfuntioning lights in the room which constantly turn themselves back on. Your job is to keep them off for as long as you can. If all the lights are on, you lose.

You may choose to either use the keyboard or mouse for this game. This can be toggled on the main menu before hitting play.

Mouse (Easy) - Click on the light to toggle that light

Keyboard (Hard) - Press the matching key to toggle that light

Just an FYI mostly.. as my leaderboards are online only

The game uses my own domain (carter.games) to host a database holding all of the game scores. There is a chance this breaks in the future as the database may not stay alive forever. The game does require an internet connection to function as your socres are not saved if the game can't reach the server. If playing offline there is a chance the game will need rebooting every now and then.

I recorded my screen for the duration of the jam and will have a complitation video of the games development as well as a shorter video with me going over my thoughts and explaining what I'm doing on screen.

I'll post links here when they are up xD

Currently aiming to have the video ready by Sunday 19th (I've got a lot going on, so bear with me xD)

Sadly no webGL sadly, can't get it working fully in time.. Mostly because I can't get the post web request to get thorugh CORS. Will try and fix this in the future xD

Install instructions

Extract the .zip files and run the Lights Out Executable. That game has only been tested on a Windows machine on a 1080p monitor.
